Like any piece of machinery, regular service not only protects your investment, it ensures your system runs at its peak efficiency keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter. When your system runs efficiently it saves power and money!
Improved Air Quality
Over the summer months the humidity in the air can cause moisture to attach to the filters in your system, this, along with dust and other airborne particles form a very inviting habitat for mould spores and germs to breed. Mould can clog up your filters, decreasing efficiency of your air-conditioner dramatically and germs and mould can be spread through the airflow.
System Life Span
Keeping the filters and coil clean, ensures that the compressor can run smoothly. If the system is left dirty the compressor can be overloaded by clogged filters which do not adequate air flow. Constant overloading caused by a dirty system will decrease the life expectancy of your system and a new compressor can be a very expensive part to replace.
(Some manufacturers warranty conditions, include regular servicing of your system and failure to do this will void your warranty)
System Efficiency
The efficiency of your system is vitally dependent on clean filters, correct gas pressures, ensuring there is no build up in the drain pipes and your ductwork is in good order.
Included in an overall service are;
- Clean, disinfect and deodorise all air intake filters
- Replace filter media and clean grille
- Check ductwork for damage and repair if necessary
- Clear the drainage system to ensure condensate water runs away without any water build up in the drain pipe
- Test pressure of the gas levels within the sealed system
- Tighten electrical terminals
- Clean and polish outdoor unit
- De-odorize the Fan Coil on the Indoor unit
- Check the connections between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit
- Check unit operation making sure everything is working correctly
